Parents Association
Yana Alexieva is an expert at the Center for Safe Internet. Her main role in the team is as a psychologist and trainer. She graduated from St. Kliment Ohridski” with a Master’s degree in Child, Adolescent and School Psychology. She is a member of the Society of Psychology and the Society of Positive Psychotherapy. She is a certified trainer in the parenting program, Training Successful Parents, Thomas Gordon.
Milena Koeva-Christodoulou
Parents Association
Milena is a wonderful professional, good coordinator of activities and financial reporting. She manages with her overall competent view of all projects to create synchrony between people and work. Besides the project activities in purely financial aspect, she is a source of creative ideas.
He believes in the idea of Tabula Rasa (The Clean Slate), according to which a child becomes the person you show him. She believes that the greatest challenge is to be a truly good parent, and the greatest parenting achievement is to raise a good and happy person.
It wants to change the attitude towards parenthood in the direction of recognizing its importance for the child, but also for society, to recognize and discuss challenges freely and openly. She would like every child to find and have a parent by their side who supports them, loves them unconditionally, understands them and is their back, shoulder and root, but also the wind beneath their wings.
Lyubomir Sirkov
Lyubomir Sirkov has worked at the National Center for Safe Internet since its inception. He analyses developments and new trends in children’s use of the Internet and identifies emerging new risks. He is completing his PhD at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, section “Logic and Philosophy of Science”, with a forthcoming dissertation on “Argumentation and manipulation in public discourse: a logical-semantic analysis”.
Mirela Dimitrova
Mirela Dimitrova is a psychologist positive psychotherapist under supervision. She graduated Bachelor in Psychology at New Bulgarian University and Master in Social Psychology at St. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from St. Cyril and Methodius University. She is currently continuing her studies for a Master’s degree in Child, Adolescent and School Psychology at St. Kliment Ohridski”. With 6 years of experience, Mirela is a dedicated psychologist and trainer at the National Center for Safe Internet since 2018.
Proletina Ilcheva
She graduated in psychology with a specialization in clinical psychology. She has experience as a project manager and data processing specialist, as well as experience working in oncology. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and being with her friends and family. She enjoys working at the Association because she is able to connect with many of our goals.
Alexandrina Georgieva
Alexandrina Georgieva is an expert in online safety and serves as coordinator of the National Center for Safe Internet. She is a certified digital wellbeing trainer and has received specialized training in this area. Since 2018, she has been actively involved in various projects with the mission to empower parents and children, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to tackle today’s digital challenges. Alexandrina holds a degree in Computer Systems and Technologies from the Technical University of Varna. Based on her professional experience in the field of information technology, her interests gradually turned to the topic of digital well-being, especially in the context of children and youth.
Blagovesta Simeonova
Blagovesta Simeonova is a communications and advertising expert with over 20 years of experience. She has worked on projects for the private sector in project management of 360-degree advertising campaigns, building brand identity, website design and development, managing digital campaigns for effectiveness, employer branding, identifying and building audiences through digital marketing. A project under her management won an Effie Award for effectiveness in advertising for a Bayer campaign. In the public sector, she has worked on marketing and communication activities for units of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and the Sofia Municipality on projects to build Sofia’s image as an investment destination, development of the entrepreneurial environment, campaigns for informed public consent for the Digital Transformation Strategy for Sofia under a European Commission project, etc.

Pavlina Filipova

Pavlina Filipova is the coordinator of the project “Digital Children”, which is funded by the BFPA Center for Safe Internet. Ms. Filipova has over 27 years of experience and expertise in working with civil society and donor organizations in Bulgaria, the Balkan region and the EU. As Programme Director at the Balkan Trust for Democracy (2006-2013) she was responsible for funding and monitoring projects in Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova, including various education and advocacy initiatives in these countries, networking and exchange of best practices. She has extensive experience in project management, coordination, training, monitoring and evaluation in the areas of education, youth empowerment, human trafficking, child abuse and sexual exploitation, anti-corruption, NGO capacity building, campaigning, CSO-institution interaction, advocacy, partnership building and community development.
Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova

Dr. Radosveta Stamenkova is the Executive Director of BFPA, and works actively in the field of public health and health promotion, as well as in social development. Numerous specializations and trainings in the EU and the USA and experience in field work have shaped her as an active figure in the development of civil society in Bulgaria and abroad for the last 30 years, while managing and working in over 80 projects. Radosveta has won a number of awards and public accolades and is a sought-after trainer and expert in public health and NGO management, family planning and sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention, capacity building, youth participation and peer education. The target groups in which it mainly focuses its work are health professionals, young people, Roma communities, municipal authorities, state structures, teachers, people living with HIV, prisoners and NGO activists.
Ventsislav Kirkov

Ventsislav Kirkov is an economist, program manager at the Bulgarian Family Planning and Sexual Health Association (BFPA). He has solid experience as a coordinator, expert and speaker in more than 80 initiatives in areas such as social entrepreneurship, health project management and international development cooperation. Ventsislav is one of the founders of the Bulgarian Platform for International Development, member of the board and chair (2013-2019), currently the platform’s representative in CONCORD (funding group) and other international networks; member of the European Network for Population and Development (EuroNGOs) and part of the 2015-2017 Steering Group; member of the Interagency Group on Reproductive Health in Crisis at UNFPA and member of the 2016-2018 Steering Group. He has specific experience in the design and implementation of electronic-based management systems. He has worked bilaterally in countries such as Armenia, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, RS Macedonia and the Netherlands. He is the author of numerous publications and studies on health, population and development topics.
Ralitsa Zgalewska

Ralitsa Zgalevska is a philologist and PR professional with experience in the NGO sector and publishing (2002 – 2011). Project and Campaign Coordinator, Communications Expert at BFPA since 2013. Strategic thinking, journalistic experience, high-level correspondence with government institutions, embassies, NGOs, authors and partners. Networking and project collaborations, individual and group work with youth, event management, content creation and editing, interviewing, storytelling, videos, fundraising, professional community management, interactive teaching, organizational planning, team collaboration, copywriting, web content creation. Coordinates the Learning Action Partnership network of professionals, established in 2013.

National Network for Children (NNC)
Georgi Elenkov is the coordinator of the project “Digital Children”, which is funded by the Center for Safe Internet on behalf of the NMA. Mr. Elenkov is a lawyer, Master of Law from Sofia University “St. He is a lecturer and trainer in trainings and seminars on negotiations and mediation. His professional interests include human rights, civil law (with a focus on family law), juvenile justice, prevention of child criminalization, educational integration, and mediation. Active participant as a negotiator and coach in the Negotiation and Commercial Mediation Team of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in international legal competitions, including the Consensual Dispute Resolution Competition organized by the Vienna Center for International Commercial Arbitration (first place as a negotiator – 2016). Since 2023, she has been a consultant for the Scale Accelerator program of the international organization Spring Impact, and since February 2024 she has taken on the role of Director of Policy and Advocacy for Children at the NMD.
